That Littler 9 darter is amazing really, first leg!!!

Can see him dominating the game in the same way Phil Taylor did.

Needs to lay of the kebabs though, he's a porky kid, could see the spare tyre wobbling around after the 9 darter.

Re: Do we usually have a Darts thread
He went on to beat Van Gerwen in the final and get his first title. He played really well and had Van Gerwen rattled.

He also reckons he hadn’t thrown a dart since the world final until the tournament started yesterday!

First leg of the match, you'd be barely warmed up

It would be madness if he wasn't given a fast pass to the big leagues

How on earth Dobey not got selected.

Re: Do we usually have a Darts thread
Whether he's "earned" it based off one senior tournament is irrelevant. Sky want the players that will draw the most. He'll be a draw. Not as much for thr regular season as most specataots of dartsainly watch the big tournaments.

He may not replicate.. or he may go on to be the next Phil Taylor (or somewhere inbetween)

Bit harsh on whoever misses out. But thems thr breaks.

Phil Taylor said he needs to be in it if it helps

If Come On The Swiiiiiiiiiiissssss doesn’t see why Littler is in it then some company is a proper mug giving him a 6 figure salary….he must be lying about it, he comes across that thick….

Re: Do we usually have a Darts thread
Not really. Given the amount of increase of awareness and media coverage for darts and the hundreds of thousands more/new viewers his presence gave the tournament and the semi final and final it's an absolute no brainer to have him in it.

The final was Sky's biggest non football audience ever. Massive increase on last year's final viewing numbers thanks to him. Tough for Noppert but Littler is better for the product.

Re: Do we usually have a Darts thread
What an absolute joke that lardy Littler has been named in the Premier League in place of world number 7 Danny Noppert. Pathetic, in fact!

Exactly that, thought both were really respectful. You don't often see a darts player applaud another in match but Littler did on numerous occasions. Will be interesting to see how he progresses. I thought MVG would be unstoppable when he broke through but he hasn't been quite as unstoppable as Taylor was.

Re: Do we usually have a Darts thread
Definitely. LH was right in that he will probably win a hatful in the future.

Both really likeable blokes and LH was very gracious in victory especially knowing that almost everyone wanted Littler to win. Felt a bit for him actually as he's not a Gerwyn Price 'bad guy' but he was almost forced into that role by virtue of his opponent being the darling and handled it very professionally. Like he has all week, with everyone going mad over his opponent he's been the forgotten man as the actual favourite for the event. It would have been easy for him to have felt some anger.

The maturity from LL in defeat was astonishing. It's hard to believe he's 16 years old. With how he plays and how he handles himself and everything.

And what a match of such high quality throughout. It felt like you basically had to win a leg in 12 on your own throw or you might not get another dart.

Re: Do we usually have a Darts thread
He'll certainly be having a few mares over that double 2 over the next few weeks but his time will come... what a talent. Both came across as real likable down to earth blokes which lets be honest the majority of arrow chuckers are...

the dart player physique can only be achieved through immense physical training and the best dietitians in the business.

what to the lesser educated eye may look like a gluttonous paunch is actually a perfectly attuned gravity centering aid, providing an essential stabilisation platform and cantilever weight to ensure an accurate and powerful aerial projection.

the fella who won tonight should enjoy it while it lasts, because without the total commitment to body conditioning that his opponents have shown he can only go so far.

Ah, there it is, the Phil Taylor dig, it took a while but some cunt finally got there.

Lillter puts that double 2 in to go up 5-2 he probably would have won. Never mind, he still has about another 40 years left to win it.

Pages.

Don't forget, we are talking about a bloke who thinks West Ham fans are working class scum.

As for the darts, that defeat was probably a good thing for Littler it should heighten his desire to do better next time.

Great final. A shame that Littler couldn’t get that double 7 to take it to another set. Nice to see different players in the final.

As for Come On You Irons, what a pathetic bitter loser. Commenting on a 16 year old’s boy’s body like a dirty nonce.
